TEAL THE DEAL: EOTD USING TEAL EYESHADOW

Hello everyone!!!
Today I am going to be showing an eye look with one of my favorite favorite color and its TEAL. Its a perfect company to any LBD ( little black dress) or any which so way it pleases you. So without much ado lets get started.
1. Apply NYX jumbo eye pencil in black bean all over the lids and gently blend it with a finger.

2.Apply the teal eye shadow using a flat shadow brush patting down the color and packing it on the lids.

3.Apply a light aqua tealish shade (okay i don't know what to call it) shade on the inner thirds of the top and bottom lids using a small blending brush and blend it well with the teal eye shadow.

4.Take a blending brush and apply black eye shadow on the outer corners of the top lids and build the color slowly blending it along.

4. Apply teal eye shadow on the lower lids and and then apply black eye shadow underneath it and blend blend blend.

5. Apply a highlight shade.

6. Take a medium brown shade and blend it over the crease area and blend it just under the highlight shade.

7. Apply eyeliner to top and bottom lids and top it off with mascara.
TADA..... YOU ARE DONE!!! ENJOY THE PICTURES.

NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM : REVIEW

HEY EVERYONE,
Today I am going to be reviewing NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAMS. I have three of these beauties in my stash:

1. ADDIS  ABABA 

2. ANTWERP

3. SAN PAULO

So lets gets this review started. More than anything its unique texture is what enticed me to buy these lipsticks. Its a lipstick in the form of a lip gloss. Thats what the product is in a nutshell.  Now lets get to the details.

WHAT THE COMPANY SAYS ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Neither lipstick nor lip gloss—this is matte lip cream. A new kind of pout paint that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing. Available in 11 lip colors.

PACAKAGING 5/5

No complaints here. Its packaged in a clear tube so you can see the color for what it is and it has a sponge tip applicator which give you more control than a brush tip applicator. The name of the product is mentioned on the bottom of the tube.

PIGMENTATION 5/5

All the shades are very pigmented. A single swipe on the lips is enough. Even antwerp being a lighter  shade has amazing pigmentation. Couldnt have asked for more.

TEXTURE 3.5/5

As the name suggests its matte, but what is unique about this it is so soft and  gives a silk like velvety feel to the lips when applied and as it dries it gives a matte look to the lips.Its quiet unlike any product that I own. But the only con with this product is that being a matte lip product it does leave the lips dry after a while as it shows the lines and cracks in the lips. Now a good way to solve it is to put a lip balm on your lips before applying it and also if you wish you can add a tiny amount of gloss to the lips. I personally just reapply the product little bit.

STAYING POWER 4/5

It is not meant to be a long wear lip product , its not marketed as such but still it has pretty good lasting power, since the pigmentation is so good on these that even after wearing off you still have color on our lips. I would say it has fairly good amount of staying power.

PRICING

Here is the thing about pricing. NYX products are cheap or affordable only the USA. Outside USA not so much. IN USA they go around for $6, in India they go around for anywhere between 750-650. 

FINAL VERDICT: 4/5 I love this product.NYX  has a great variety of color selection for these matte lip creams and they glide on ever so smoothly on your lips. The drying bit on the lips is the only con i can give the product other than that it is perfect. For a matte lipstick it is still less drying than most other lipsticks. I would definitely recommend this product. 

METALLIC GREEN EYES USING MAYBELLINE SUNBAKED NEUTRALS : EOTD, FOTD

Hello eyeryone.
This post is going to be my take on metallic green colored smokey eyes. Green is a flattering color on olives tones and brown/black eyes. I always enjoy wearing green on my eyes, as it compliments both traditional and  western wear. If i wish to wear it during day time I go for matte shades instead of METALLIC ONES{ ANOTHER BLOG POST}.So here it is hope you enjoy.
Here is the palette I used to create this look. Its an old maybelline palette called sunbaked neutrals and it has come in handy on various occasions.

 1. Apply the metal green shade all over your lids.

2. Pick some black eye shadow with the same eye shadow brush and apply it to the outer corner creating a V shape.

3.Add a medium brown shade to blend all the shades together in the crease.

4. Taking a small blending brush apply the lighter green shade on the inner corners of the eyes and also on the lower half. for the other half of the lower lash line with the same brush apply the dark green eye shadow and blend it well.

5. Add black eye liner to the top and bottom of the lids. And add some mascara. 

Tada!!! You are done.

REVLON LIP BUTTER RASPBERRY PIE, TRUTTI FRUTTI AND CANDY APPLE: A REVIEW

Hello friends,
Today's post is going to be a review of the much hyped appreciated and loved lip product ....any guesses???? Just kidding. Today I am going to be reviewing Revlon Lip Butters in Raspberry Pie,Trutti Frutti and Candy Apple. I must admit though I joined the lip butter bandwagon because there were just too many people raving about it and I couldn't resist.

RASPBERRY PIE is a bright berry color with plum tones to it. It will look good on all skin tones.

TRUTTI FRUTTI: Its a bright tangerine orange shade. It will look good on lighter skin tones, I tried it (I am NC42) and it looked okay on me, I have been irking to try orange colors so i would definitely wear it more often maybe over a darker orange lip liner or just a sheer wash of color in summers.

CANDY APPLE: This color belongs in the red color family, but its not a "in your face" red . Its a more wearable red. If you have been wanting to try a red lip color that is not too bright and red you can definitely try this.

Lets get this review started:


PACKAGING: The packaging is actually very clever. The 21 shades are categorically packaged depending on their respective color families red, orange and pink which also makes it easier to use and select. Another cute fact is all the lip butters are named  after a dessert! SO if you want to take a bite out of these you can justify it!
TEXTURE: These lip butters are very smooth in texture literally butter like and they glide on your lips smoothly. They are moisturizing on the lips.
PIGMENTATION: These lip butters are well pigmented and have a shine on them, its like a lip balm lipstick and lip gloss all in one. You don't need to apply a lip gloss for extra shine.
STAYING POWER: They did not last for more than 3 hours on my lips. Raspberry Pie did leave a stain on my lips being a darker color as for trutti frutti it being a lighter shade the tint didnt last, but even after being worn off my lips stayed moisturized. 
PRICING: In India they retail for INR 600 whereas in USA they retail for $6.5. 
FINAL VERDICT: I love the formula and since I have dry lips I find myself reaching out for these lippies more often. I would definitely try more of these shades, the color selection and variety is extensive too, just wish if they could stay put longer on the lips. They are definitely not long lasting on your lips, thats a major negative, but they work fine for me I don't mind reapplying them. You should definitely check these out and if you already have do let me know what lip butters you are enjoying!

EASY SMOKEY EYE : BLACK AND BROWN

Hellooooo friends,
This is going to be a quick post on a look i did few days back. Its my go to smokey eye look when i am in a hurry or not getting any fresh ideas. Its an easy breezy look. I dont have pictures explaining the look step wise tough i shall try to do it some other time in another post. Its an all matte look using three eyeshadows. 1.BLACK
                     2. MEDIUM BROWN
                     3. MATTE WHITE
I applied the black eye shadow all over the lids and then for the crease I used the medium brown eye shadow blended it making sure to keep the lid area untouched.
Then taking a matte white eye shadow I highlighted under the brow bone and the tear duct.
For the lower lash line I took the black eye-shadow and applied it on the lower lash line and went over it with the brown eye shadow and smudged it using a pencil brush.
Other than that just your liner and mascara. Here are few pictures hope you like them.
