I am so thrilled for this post as I get to share and review for you guys a beloved concealer its the MAYBELLINE INSTANT AGE REWIND ERASER DARK CIRCLE TREATMENT  CONCEALER.
I have horrendous under eye dark circles and heavily pigmented lids. I dont mean to scare anybody but yes dark circles have been my biggest concern, and honestly trying to make the concealer work its magic on my eyes has also been a struggle. It took me a while to get the application of concealer perfectly.
So imagine my happiness when I find a concealer that truly covers well and is easy to apply and does the work beautifully.
So on to the review,
MAYBELLINE Instant Age Rewind is not available on the Maybelline counters in India but its available online for INR 459 and $8.99 USD.

PACKAGING wise it comes in a twist up tube with a  round sponge tip which glides perfectly under the eyes.  So each time you want to apply the concealer you just twist it up a little the product comes up on the sponge and you basically just swipe it over your dark circles and on to your lids for covering up the dark circle and pigmentation on the lids.

TEXTURE AND PIGMENTATION: The formula is creamy and smooth and it blends very well into the skin. Its a full coverage concealer, so I would advice to use it sparingly. The formula is on the liquid side than on the creamier side but its definitely not runny.

APPLICATION: For the first use you will need to turn the tube in the direction of the arrows made few times, and then you will see the product on the sponge. Noe you dont need to use any brush or your finger, just gently swipe it under your eyes and then using a dabbing motion with your finger just tap the product into the skin, do not use back and forth motion to blend it. With concealer always remember you need to dab it and not blend it.

This concealer blends like a dream and the formula is creamy though not to the point where it turns oily. And I have dry skin so it works perfectly for me its moisturizing not drying. It conceals perfectly. It had even won some beauty award and is very popular in the beauty community. I myself got it three years back and have been hooked on to it since. I always buy two of these, one always as a back up.

L'oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer

Hi everyone,
Today I am reviewing another product from my haul and its the  L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer.

 I have long suffered from dark circles and still struggle to get those darn dark circles go away( pardon the language, I am very pissed with my dark circles), hence I am always on the look for the perfect concealer to blend away my worries. So when L'Oreal launched these crayon style concealer I knew I had to try one.
So lets begin with the review:

PRICE: $8.95 USD.

PACKAGING: This concealer is packaged exactly like a chubby stick in the form of a twist up crayon which are all the rage in the makeup world.I particularly enjoy the packaging because its easy to get into the corners and also most important is that there is no wastage of the product. And the BEST part is no sharpening. Yippie! I dont like doing it plus half the product is wasted. No such issues here.

TEXTURE: I was skeptical that this concealer would work for me as I have dry skin and dark dark circles and this being a creamy product would settle in the lines or be difficult to blend, but I went ahead and purchased it anyway. But I am pleasantly surprised this concealer is super smooth .I didnt feel any tugging or pulling while applying it, and it was so so easy to blend and the best thing is it doesn't feel cakey or heavy.

PIGMENTATION: Now this was very important to me as I didnt want to apply too much product, and this concealer is super pigmented a little goes a long way. I now regret not buying more of these, you can very well use these to contour and highlight your face as well. Its so creamy yet pigmented yet blendable.

APPLICATION: Just apply in under your eyes with light hands and pat the concealer into your skin. The staying power on this concealer is good too. I have been using it over different foundations and would just like to point out that since its a creamy concealer I wouldnt recommend it being used over a mineral /powder foundation.

For reference I am a NC40/42 in MAC. For this concealer the shade I am using is W 4-5 LIGHT/MEDIUM. Hope it helps.

FINAL THOUGHTS: Frankly I have nothing negative to say about these. I love everything about it right from the packaging to the color selection to the pigmentation to the application to the staying power to the creaminess of the product, I like everything. I would definitely recommend it and would myself like to get my hands on more of these.

 This concealer makes a world of difference to my dark circles. Even after hours of application I didnt find it heavy or settling under the fine lines which is a major concern for me.

MANY OF US OFTEN IGNORE THIS LITTLE MAGIC PRODUCT, BUT I WOULD SAY I CAN DO WITHOUT FOUNDATION FOR ONCE BUT NOT WITHOUT MY CONCEALER. ITS THAT IMPORTANT A PRODUCT IN YOUR VANITY.

WHAT IS A CONCEALER?
CONCEALER IS A MAKEUP PRODUCT USED TO COVER YOUR DARK CIRCLES AND BLEMISHES AND OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE SKIN. SOME SPOTS ON THE FACE NEED MORE CONCEALING THAN WHAT JUST FOUNDATION CAN PROVIDE. HERE A CONCEALER COMES IN HANDY.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT KINDS OF CONCEALERS:
AS WITH FOUNDATIONS YOU CAN FIND ALL KINDS OF CONCEALERS FROM LIQUID TO CREAM TO POWDER. A VERY IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER THOUGH IS TO NOT MIX THE TEXTURES OF THE CONCEALER AND FOUNDATION. MEANING IF YOU HAVE USED A POWDER FOUNDATION DONT APPLY A LIQUID CONCEALER AND VICE VERSE.

LIQUID CONCEALERS: LIQUID CONCEALERS ARE MOSTLY PACKAGED IN A TUBE OR BOTTLE AND COME WITH A WAND OR BRUSH APPLICATOR . THESE CONCEALERS DONT PROVIDE THE FULLEST COVERAGE SO THEY ARE GOOD FOR ANY MILD COVERINGS OR BRIGHTENING THE UNDER EYE AREA IF YOU DONT HAVE HEAVY DARK CIRCLES.

CREAM/STICK CONCEALERS: THESE CONCEALERS ARE BEST FOR HIDING DARK UNDER EYE CIRCLES OR MAJOR REDNESS FROM BLEMISHES OR ZITS ON YOUR FACE. JUST BE SURE TO PICK A CREAMY ONE, THE ONES WIT DRIER FORMULA DONT BLEND WELL .

POWDER/ MINERAL CONCEALERS: I PERSONALLY AM NOT A BIG FAN OF POWDER CONCEALERS AS THEY DONT GIVE MUCH COVERAGE AT ALL. BUT FOR SOMEONE WHO DOESNT REQUIRE MUCH COVERAGE IT MIGHT WORK . ITS GOOD FOR OILY SKIN AS IT HELPS ABSORB EXTRA OIL FROM THE SKIN.

HOW TO APPLY CONCEALER: ONE MISTAKE I MADE WHEN I STARTED USING CONCEALER WAS I USED TO TRY AND BLEND IT AS I WOULD MY FOUNDATION AND THEN LATER WONDER WHY ISNT THE CONCEALER WORKING. SO MORAL OF THE STORY IS THAT YOU NEED TO TAKE A SMALL AMOUNT OF CONCEALER AND PAT IT UNDER THE EYES OR ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE SKIN AND JUST PAT IT INTO THE SKIN USING YOUR FINGER. TAKE LITTLE AT A TIME AND ADD MORE IF REQUIRED. YOU CAN ALWAYS USE CONCEALER BRUSH TO APPLY YOUR CONCEALER BUT I FIND THAT THE HEAT FROM THE FINGER HELPS THE CONCEALER TO BETTER APPLY ON THE SKIN.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE PERFECT COLOR FOR CONCEALER: YOU NEED TWO DIFFERENT COLORS OF CONCEALERS. YES YOU READ IT RIGHT. LET ME EXPLAIN. THE CONCEALER FOR YOUR UNDER EYE AREA NEEDS TO BE A SHADE LIGHTER THAN YOUR FOUNDATION , AS YOUR  DARK CIRCLES ARE DARKER THAN THE REST OF YOUR FACE SO IN ORDER TO BRIGHTEN UP YOUR UNDER EYE AREA YOU NEED A CONCEALER THAT NOT ONLY CONCEALS BUT ALSO BRIGHTENS YOUR UNDER EYE AREA. AND THE SECOND CONCEALER IS FOR COVERING THE BLEMISHES OR RED SPOTS ON THE FACE, SO THIS CONCEALER SHOULD MATCH YOUR FOUNDATION PERFECTLY, IF ITS LIGHTER THAN YOUR FOUNDATION IT WILL ONLY HIGHLIGHT THE PROBLEM AREA MORE. BUT IF YOU DONT HAVE DARK DARK CIRCLES OR PROBLEM SKIN ONE CONCEALER SHOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH.

WHEN TO APPLY CONCEALER: THIS ANSWER IS SUBJECTIVE. THE MAKEUP WORLD STANDS DIVIDED. SOME PREFER TO APPLY FOUNDATION AFTER APPLYING CONCEALER AND SOME PREFER IT THE OTHER WAY. I AM ON THE SECOND BOAT I.E... I APPLY CONCEALER AFTER APPLYING FOUNDATION. I FIND THAT I NEED TO APPLY LESS CONCEALER IF I HAVE ALREADY APPLIED FOUNDATION AS FOUNDATION DOES EVEN OUT MY SKIN TONE AND PROVIDES SUFFICIENT COVERAGE. YOU CAN TRY IT BOTH WAYS AND SEE WHICH WORKS BETTER FOR YOU.
