LORAC BAKED MATTE SATIN EYESHADOW IN SOCIAL REVIEW AND EOTD

Hello my beautiful friends,
I am back with yet another review from the LORAC cosmetics its their BAKED MATTE EYESHADOW in SOCIAL.
I love smokey eyes and love to try on different colors for eyeshadows different finishes on them be it matte, satin, frost, metallic or cream or shimmer. The possibilities are endless, but the finish I enjoy most working with is matte, they are the most versatile according to me.

So back to this eyeshadow. LORAC eyeshadows are a must have. I am so dying to try the PRO PALETTE.
So lets begin the review on these BAKED MATTE RANGE.
This particular range is now discontinued. I picked these off hautelook while I was in the USA for $2 a piece, wasnt it a steal? I wish I could have picked up all the colors..but they went out of stock so soon...I have 3 more in this range which I shall review later.

COLOR: SOCIAL is a true matte medium brown color. LORAC SOCIAL is the perfect color for the crease to blend out the darker browns and blacks for the smokey eyes, and on its own too its a perfect brown for all over the lids. I love this color just too much.

TEXTURE: The TEXTURE of SOCIAL is what surprised me the most. Generally matte eye shadows have a tendency to be a bit rough and  not blend effortlessly, and its not very difficult for it  to look muddy. But SOCIAL totally surprised me. Its smooth, soft and easy to blend.

PIGMENTATION: Being my first baked eyeshadow purchase I didnt know what to really expect in terms of pigmentation, like it would be different from the regular ones and if so how different and in which context. Ultimately what I deduced is that they have a slightly different formula and baked eyeshadows can be used both wet and dry. Although I havent used this eyeshadow wet. The pigmentation on the eyeshadow in the dry form is superb, never felt the need to use it wet.

STAYING POWER: LORAC products dont disappoint in the staying power department. These dont budge at all. No creasing of any sorts. These eyeshadow really stay.

Here is a look I created using this eyeshadow. I have used the same eyeshadow to fill in my eye brows as well. Works great you just need to set it with brow gel or you can even use clear mascara.

EOTD USING LORAC BAKED MATTE SATIN EYESHADOWS IN SOCIAL AND INSIDER

Hello hello...
I am going to be sharing yet another EOTD with you all today using two versions of the same look, one is matte and another is after adding glitter to it.
Let me know which one is better.
So lets begin:

1.I started by applying a tape in an angle to create a sharp "v" shape. This trick is also good for anyone who struggles to get the perfect shape for eye makeup, if you dont want it so sharp just blend it later on.

I applied the LORAC BAKED MATTE SATIN  EYE-SHADOW in INSIDER all over the lids staying below the crease area.

2.Next I added another eye shadow called SOCIAL, which is a baked matte medium brown eye shadow on the crease bringing it all the way in to the inner corner of the lids.

3. I  also applied both these eye shadows on the lower waterline keeping the brown only to the outer third of the eyes.

4.I then put a matte highlight shade and lined my eyes with a deep blackish brown eye liner to not make the look very sharp. And then I curled  my eye lashes applied mascara.

5. Here is the final look without any glitter.

This is the one with some light blue glitters on the lid area.

I apologize for the photos not being too clear, I shall try to do a better job next time.
