INDIAN FESTIVE TIME EYE MAKEUP EOTD

Hello everyone!
Navratri has begun!!! For the uninitiated, its an Indian Festival which celebrates the victory of Goddess Durga over the devil Mahushasura.
The mythology aside, its also time for a lot of celebration and festivities. There is a lot of garba and dandiya (dance forms) involved along with lot of strolling around and roaming about with friends and family and indulging in the yummylicious food!!!
Yum Yum...missing Kolkata. Its the best time of the year according to me to be in Kolkata.
Okay well this post is in regards to the ongoing festivities and also many more to come.
For this FOTD/LOTD  I have used copper, gold kind of shades. This makeup will compliment well with Indian tradtional wear, and its perfect makeup for the INDIAN Festive Season
Hope you all like it and incorporate it somehow and find it useful.
So lets begin!
1. I primed my lids NYX EYESHADOW BASE in skin tone, to negate any pigmentation on the lids. And taking a flat eyeshadow brush and using patting motion I applied the brown copper eye shadow on the outer half of the lids and also on the lower lash line(outer half only).

2. Next I used a orange based gold eyeshadow on the lids with the same eyeshadow brush and applied it on the lower lash line( inner half).

3.Next taking a matte brown eyeshadow I applied it on the crease to darken it.

4.Next I applied a shimmery gold eyeshadow on the tear duct, and lightly blended the dark brown on the crease. For the highlight I used a matte beige/white color eyeshadow, but you can go all out and use a shimmery highlight as well.

5. Applied a black gel eye liner and mascara on top and bottom lashes. Its done.

Here is the FOTD. I used a burnt orange blush on the cheeks, and for the lips I used an apricot lipstick and topped it off with a coral lip gloss from NYX. I shall update the post will the details of the products used soon. I promise, but I just wanted to get this post up soon.
I gave a  little INDIAN twist to the FOTD by using Indian jewelry. How do you guys like it?

WEEKLY EYE MAKEUP CHALLENGE LOOK 1 USING NYX PIGMENT IN LIME GREEN

So this is the look I created for the weekly makeup eye challenge me and my fellow blogger friends have teamed up for doing. Bascially we will make sure to post one eye makeup look once a week pertaining to this collaboration. This was supposed to be a 30 days 30 eye makeup looks challenge, but that is indeed very challenging to ccomplish. So for this post here is my look.
The two other bloggers who have done this there link will be shared in this post, do check them out.
So here is the look I created using NYX Pigements in Lime Green and Gold.

 So basically all I did was :
1.Primed my lids with NYX Jumbo eye pencil in MILKall the way up to the brow bone and also on the waterline.
2. Took a synthetic flat eye shadow brush to pick up the pigments and then placed the gold pigment on the inner third and outer third of the lids.
3. For the centre of the lids I tool the Lime green pigment.
4. On the crease I applied a light coral shade to softly blend all the eye shadows together.
5. I then applied a burnt brown eye liner on the upper lashline, for the lower lashine I applied the MILK jumbo eye pencil on the waterline and applied the gold pigement on the inner half of the lower lashline and the lime green pigment for the outer half.
6. I then curled my eye lashes and applied mascara.

OFFICE AND/OR DAYTIME EASY MAKEUP USING : NYX CHAMPAGNE AND CAVIAR EYESHADOW PALETTE

Hello my sweeties,
As promised this post is going to be my take on office makeup.
I am planning on doing a mini series of sorts on day time / office makeup looks, where in all the posts would be simple easy to do makeup looks. Do let me know in comments if any of you would be interested in that.

Now I know its neither practical or possible to give a lot of time for getting ready in the morning perfectly, but in a corporate or professional environment its good to look put together and poilshed all the time.
So here is what I came up with:

For the face.
After you moisturize it let it sit for a couple of minutes and proceed to eye makeup, once done with that apply your favorite BB cream or foundation ( depending on the coverage you feel your skin requires) set it up with powder, use concealer if required, I wouldnt skip it.
Set up the foundation with a powder.
Add a pinch of blush to your face for some freshness and color.
Now for the EYES:
Prime your lids. Apply a neutral shade all over the lids.
Apply a thin eye liner.
Curl your eye lashes,apply mascara
If mascara gets too much for you, I would suggest apply a clear mascara which will define your lashes.
Apply your favorite mid tone lipstick nothing too dark nothing too light.

And your simple almost no makeup but still makeup look is all set and you are ready for your office.
Now if still time permits, I would definitely say you should take a minute to groom your eyebrows, just fill it in a little bit, nothing too harsh.
