THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN E CREAM EXFOLIATOR : REVIEW

Hello there,
I am back with yet another post and for this post I am going to be reviewing  THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN E CREAM EXFOLIATOR.
What the company says:
A light and creamy facial scrub to gently exfoliate without irritating the skin, leaving it feeling smooth, soft and refined.
 PRICE: Rs.625 for 75ml /$15 USD.

PACAKGING: All the products in the vitamin e range come packaged in a translicent baby pink color. This exfoliator too is packed in a baby pink squeeze tube with a flip on lid which is secured tightly and thus makes it travel friendly.

APPLICATION: All of us need to exfoliate our skin time and again some more than others like me, who have dry skin and want to constantly keep removing the dead skin and feel hydrated and supple looking healthy skin. I am constantly on the look out for a product that will exfoliate my skin without hurting it.
Now this exfoliator is the perfect answer to all my worries. 

When you squeeze out the product you will see its pretty thick and looks like a cream, the micro beads are not very visible to the naked eye, when you wet the product and apply it on your wet face and neck and you massage it you will feel the microbeads exfoliating the skin at the same time the cream of the product would make you feel as if you are massaging your face with a rich cream rather than exfoliating it. Its not at all harsh on the skin.
When I bought this the SA told me to use it once a week, but I admit to using it more than that, I have extremely dry skin ,so it works for me to use it more often, but you be your own judge, use it only as much is required,

The end result is amazing, my skin feels so smooth and supple, I dont even feel the need to moisturize my face after using this, for quiet sometime, and I have dry dry skin, so coming from me, it means this product is really really creamy and exfoliating,its worth every penny spent.

I have been using this product for a long time, and one tube goes a long way. You dont need a lot of product to do the job.
I would definitely recommend it and repurchase it.  

COASTAL SCENTS 88 ORIGINAL PALETTE : BLACK AND BROWN SMOKEY EYES

Hey everyone,
For this post I was going through my makeup stash trying to figure out what look to do now, and  I took out my COASTAL SCENTS 88 ORIGINAL PALETTE. It was lying unused for quiet some time. SORRY DEAR! I remember how I was giggling when I got a long time ago...and tried so many makeup looks with it.
Anyhow back to this look, it didnt exactly turn out as I wanted it too, but overall wasnt bad either(in my opinion of course, you be the judge of that).
So lets begin...This is the palette used

1.I took my MAC kohl in SMOLDER and drew a thick line all over the lids:

2.Next I smudged the kohl on my lids using a pencil brush.

3.Next I took this shade and applied it all over the lids

4.Next I pick up some black eyeshadow and start blending it on the outer corner slowly building up the color

5.For the lower lids I repeat the same steps, I applied the brown shade on the entire lower lid and smudged the black eyeshadow on the outer lids. I used this shade as the highlight shade its a matte beige shade.

6. I then add mascara and also false eye lashes. And here is the final look.

MILANI RUNWAY EYES FASHION SHADWOS PALETTE IN 08 CATWALK REVIEW

Hey all.
Today I am reviewing this MILANI RUNWAY EYESHADOW PALETTE IN CATWALK.
This range of eye shadows palettes from MILANI come in ten different palettes.
I have had this palette for quiet some time now, you can see that through the wear and tear it has incurred.
PRICE: USD $8.99

PACKAGING: This is the part that really sucks for this entire palette. This palette consists of six colors all lined up in strips so thin that it is very difficult to pick up a color from your brush without touching the other color. You eventually get a hang of it but it is irritating.

TEXTURE AND PIGMENTATION: All six colors in this palette are shimmery, and slightly powdery not chalky. The pigmentation on all the shadows is buildable they are not super pigmented. I did not have any problem in blending these shadows.  These eyeshadows can be used both dry and wet, but its not easy to blend when they are wet and I found the color payoff to be just fine when used dry.

COLORS: All the six shades are shimmery. The six colors in this palette I can best describe are
1.Shimmery white.
2.Bronzy Gold
3.Silver grey
4Magenta
5.Teal/deep Navy Blue
6.Shimmery Black.

When ever I have used this palette I have had to use other palettes to complete a look because I dont use all the shimmery shades for one look and other thing is all the shades in this palette dont go that well together, you can ofcourse create looks with these colors but I personally havent.
OVERALL VERDICT: I use this palette time to time, but I am not overly impressed with it,, the colors and the pigmentation is all fine but to use it such a problem because of the packaging. Its not a waste of money certainly you can get good use out of it. But its a so -so product nothign extra ordinary, wouldnt repurchase, but would definitely get good use out of this one. I have used it for this look.

NYX SLIM LIP PENCIL IN PLUSH RED 20 REVIEW AND SWATCH

Today I am reviewing my only NYX lip pencil, its PLUSH RED.

I must admit though that I am not a big lip liner person. But ever since  I got  into applyig bright and dark lipsticks I knew these are a must have, so being an avid red lipstick lipstick fanatic I got this lip liner.Now into the review.

PRICE:USD $1.99, INR 200

PACKAGING: These lip liners have a smiliar packaging to the NYX slim eyeliner an all black pencil and the other end of the pencil has the color of the liner , in this case red.

TEXTURE: Plush red is a matte finish lip liner. And it goes on smooth, it is creamy bu no to he point where it breaks very easily, you definitely need to have your lips exfoliated and moisturized . I did not feel any tugging on the lips to apply this liner.

PIGMENTATION: The lip liner has good pigmentation it gives an opaque matte finish.Although I was fairly disappointed with the color, I thought it would be true red color, where as this color, tough it belongs to the red color family, its not really red, its more pinkish red , it doesnt go well with brighter red lipsticks that have orange undertones. On its own I love the color.

STAYING POWER:Its fairly long wearing.  IT easily lasts up to 6 hours on my lips without any lipstick . AND it certainly made the lipstick stay longer when I filled my entire lips with it.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:Its a very good budget lip liner, not a true red shade but this range has amazing color options. I will definitely recommend it and pick other colors myself.

DRAMATIC SMOKEY EYES MAKEUP TUTORIAL SILVER AND BLACK

HEY EVERYONE,
This post is a pictorial tutorial of an all out SMOKEY EYES using silver as the base color.
I love this kind of makeup its all out there and definitely not for day time. SO without much ado lets begin:

1. After priming the eyes with NYX EYESHADOW BASE I applied NYX JUMBO eye pencil in silver on the entire lid laeving the outer corner.

2.On the outer corner I applied NYX Jumbo eye pencil in BLACK BEAN.

3.On top of the silver base I applied a metallic silver shade from the Milani Runway Eye shadow palette except for the outer corner.

4.On the outer corner I applied black eyeshadow from the same palette, creating a "v" shape and then I took the same eyeshadow on the lower half of the lid, and on the inner part of the lower lid I applied the same silver  eye shadow.
After this I started blending blending everything in small strokes with soft hands.
5. I then added a white matte eyeshadow as the highlight shade and also applied in the inner most corner of both the top and bottom lids to open up the eyes.

At this stage I also tightlined my upper lashline and applied gel eyeliner on both top and bottom lash line.

I curled my lashes ans applied mascara on both top and bottom lashes. Here is the final look on both the eyes.

For the rest of the face I kept it simple and I contoured my face slightly with PHYSICIAN'S FORMULA BRONZER.

And lastly I added nude lipstick and used a powder to give it a matte finish.

REVIEW: MAYBELLINE DREAM LIQUID MOUSSE FOUNDATION

Monsoon is here in full swing and while all that is good and well monsoon does bring its fair share of humdity in the air does demanding a change in the makeup routine. What works in the summer will not not work during he monsoon and what works now will definitely not work during the winters. The reason I mention this is because this foundation sat in my vanity for a long time because I bought it at the wrong time. But I rediscovered it in the summer months and thought about reviewing it for you all.
First off lets see what maybelline has to say about this foundation.

• Okay so lets start:

PRICE:  RS.575 FOR 30 ML

PACKAGING: I love using liquid foundations they are my favorite, however most of the foundations are packaged in a simple bottle with just a lid which is always a hassle to use but this foundation is a savior. It comes in a transparent glass bottle with a pump. It doesnt however come with a lid but you can close it after use by twisting it clockwise, nice huh? It makes it travel friendly. 

Now lets talk about the color selection. Well there arent many to choose from. You are lucky if you find your exact match. The shade that I have is a tad bit lighter than I would prefer but I make it work after contouring, but it isnt ideal I would admit. 

Regarding the texture and pigmentation I would say I am really impressed while the coverage is medium it is definitely buildable to full ,  a little bit of foundation goes a long way, and blends like a dream( pun intended). Its thicker than an average liquid foundation and has a mousse kind of texture to it though its not heavy looking or feeling on the face, just dont over use it as it provides excellent coverage, build up the amount as required.It really blends into the skin and provides a flawless finish, but remember to moisturize your face first. 

Another thing to note is that this foundation does not have any SPF. which is a plus and minus both, because for any night time event or outing you can always skip the spf and photograph well, SPF foundations give a white cast to the photos . Where as for daytime use you need to add the extra step, if however you have oily skin just do the spf skip the moisturizer. 

Phew...that is too much talk....

The staying power on this foundation is pretty good, the maximum I have had it on is for 6-7 hours and it did a good job, I have dry skin no I did not have any issues, it might not be the same for people with oily skin ,so a mattifying powder might be required for setting the foundation and for touch ups.

Overall I am happy with this foundation and would recommend it as a nice budget buy.  It gives beautiful coverage with a dewy to matte finish and its lightweight and doesnt feel heavy on the face.
