COLORBAR VELVET MATTE LIPSTICK IN HEARTS AND TARTS REVIEW

Today is a RED HOT LIPSTICK KIND OF DAY.
 I was feeling tired today and I knew just what I wanted to perk up my spirits an amazing RED LIPSTICK. I love red red red! It is truly said that there is a red lipstick for every woman! And I truly feel that every girl should absolutely and truly own one red lipstick (at least).

Even if you feel you cant carry it off just buy one and try it on. Apply it just at home get comfortable with it and then when you will be showered with compliments you will yourself wear it outside with all the confidence in the world. COLORBAR VELVET MATTE LIPSTICK is the perfect budget lipstick to start off with.
Today I am reviewing the lipstick HEARTS AND TARTS from the VELVET MATTE range.
I am falling "Dangerously in Love" with this range.
Okay so lets begin with the details on PACKAGING ,it comes packaged in a silver cylindrical bullet with a transparent cap and on the other end you can see the color of the lipstick which helps identifying the shade of lipstick. So full marks on packaging.
Priced at INR 275 These are a steal! But these are now almost discontinued. So grab your favorite ones while you still can.
Hearts And Tarts is a beautiful red which is on the darker side and not a bright red. The color is a winner across all the complexions, its going to look good on everyone.

The lipstick glides on effortlessly on the lips, being a matte finish lipstick I expected it to be dry, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found it to be so smooth and non drying on the lips. It is definitely not a moisturizing lipstick (its not possible for it to be matte and hydrating at the same time) so its better to exfoliate and moisturize your lips before applying this if you have dry and chapped lips. I found it a tad bit more drier than the other lipstick I have from this range, Over the Top.

Pigmentation wise too I was pretty impressed with the lipstick, one swipe and your lips are covered. You get an opaque pigmentation only in one swipe, although I personally like to build up the color for a darker looking red lip.

The staying power on this lipstick is pretty decent. It easily stays on my lips for 5 plus hours without fading and bleeding and also fades out evenly and despite having dry lips it didnt settle onto the fine lines.
What more can I ask for. It delivered more than I asked it to.
Its a lovely color and the best budget lipstick with high end quality! Go for it girls you wont be disappointed.

FALL MAKEUP : EOTD GETTING IN THE MOOD FOR FALL/WINTER 2013

Hey everyone!
Its almost October. Holy moly! Its hard to believe that so much of the year has already passed by. If weather conditions are anything to go by its still monsoon. But its the time of year when we get ready to cozy up to darker warmer colors.
I was just sitting by my vanity trying to get inspiration from the display of colors in front of me( had all my eyeshadow palettes opened) and was just playing around with colors and decided to do my eyes. This is the look I came up with. Its a deeper shade of pink and navy blue eyeshadow and the slightest bit of black eyeshadow.

I used only matte eye shadow for this look. I am liking only matte eye shadows a lot these days.

These two colors look lovely together, (strictly my opinion). How about you guys? Do you like this color combination?
I would gladly do a tutorial on this look in case any of you want me to.

QUEEN HELENE MINT JULEP MASQUE : THE BEST THERE IS REVIEW

Hey everyone!
Today I am going to share a big secret! Ah well its no secret how wonderful this MINT JULEP FACE MASQUE is. But I decided to share my experience and my take on the product with you all.
Skin care is serious stuff, you cant really mess with it. I remember back when I started using it  2009, yep its been that long since its a must have for me; I saw it on all the you tube videos, beauty gurus swearing by this product, but it was filthy cheap and I had my apprehensions I was perplexed weather or not to try it out  but eventually I decided to give it a try. And boy, am I glad or what?

What it claims to do:

PRICED at $3.79 USD and INR 525
This masque is the lovely green minty looking thick paste. And it comes in a tube with a dark green cap which snap shuts securely.
The only issue I have with the packaging is that the consistency of this masque is pretty thick and it is indeed an uphill task to take it out of the tube.
Once you conquer that feat its easy peasy from then on. There is direction given on the back of the tube on the way to use it.

Apply it on clean face and neck with your fingers its too thick to be applied with a brush. And then let it dry. I feel a cooling sensation and a little bit of tingling on the skin  while it dries.
Once it dries you know the drill...clean the face with water and pat down your face with a towel.
And now comes the time to see and feel the result. Does it perform?
HECK YEAH!!!
On all counts.
I immediately feel my skin tight and fresh feeling. I dont have visible large pores yet on my face, but whatever I do have I feel them to be tout and shrunken. I do have dry skin but it doesnt overly dry my skin which is an added bonus and it means it is going to work across all kind of skin tones. Its a total no brainer for oily skin, its a must have. If you have pimple prone skin then also this masque can come in handy. It reduces the redness on the pimples ans you will also find it shrunk in size after using this masque.

Okay you can go ahead and laugh! And do not apply the masque as I have done, it need not be this messy. I dont remember what hurry I was in.
There is nothing not to love about this masque, you can buy it online in INDIA from here  for INR 525. But the packaging is looking different.
It is a must have product for me. You should give it a try if you are into applying masque.

GRADIENT PURPLE USING MAYBELLINE QUAD IN LILAC MAUVE REVIEW AND EOTD

Hello dolls,
Okay here I am back with another review of a Maybelline product. I never realized I had so much Maybelline stuff with me!
The eye-shadow quad I am reviewing is an oldie. Its the Maybelline Eye Studio Quad in 110  Lilac Mauve.
An assortment of 4 shimmery eye-shadows to create the perfect look using the colors of the lilac/purple family that compliment each other perfectly.

I am generally not a fan of an eye-shadow quad having all shimmery shades, I prefer at-least one matte eye shadow, that said the deepest shade of this quad is not an all out shimmery shade so it works for me.

The packaging is very sturdy ad its very travel friendly. The lid snaps shut securely. And the lid is transparent so all the colors are easily visible.
These eye-shadows can be used wet or dry. If you want to intensify the look then go ahead and wet your brush and use it. But the colors are very pigmented, all the swatches are without any primer.

The texture is very soft and smooth and buttery feeling, despite being shimmery and a drugstore brand the quality really amazed me. These go on the lids effortlessly and blend even more easily. You need very little product to get the desired impact.

These are long lasting and there are few more variants in this I love the Copper Brown and Wine Pink. Do check it out. I did this EOTD using this palette.

MY MLBB LIPSTICK MAYBELLINE PARK AVE. PEACH :LOTD AND REVIEW

Hello everyone! I was going through my lipstick stash arranging it swatching them all, its total bliss I tell you. And during this session that I rediscovered my MLBB (My Lips But Better)Lipstick again. I forgot all about it .I had stopped using it and remembered how much I used to like it. So here is a quick review on the same.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipsticks are the best budget lipsticks.
Cute packaging in a square silver bullet with a deep maroon cap with the name on the other end.
These lipsticks are reasonably priced at INR 375.

This color is exactly as is described its a peach soft coral shade. Perfect for everyday use. Its a no fuss lipstick for me.

Sadly it doesnt last too long , after 3 hours its completely off my lips but its creamy in texture and glides on the lips effortlessly.

Its hydrating on the lips and is very light weight, you wont feel you have lipstick on.

The color is on the sheer side but is buildable. I like how it looks soft and sweet on the lips. Not too light not too dark, perfect to use for everyday and perfect for even darker smokey looks.

Okay so the week started with

3.Next came the EOTD on green eye makeup GO GREEN ON THE EYES  I was loving the green color a bit much this week I suppose.

4.And finally the last post this week on Friday was the LOTD using the MYSTERIOUS BROWN EYES PALETTE 

So this was the week that was at GLAMMEGAL.

NYX EYESHADOW PALETTE FOR YOUR EYES ONLY "MYSTERIOUS BROWN EYES" LOTD

 Hey Everyone!
Beauty experts all over believe that Brown Eyes are the most flattering. Women blessed with brown eyes can rock all colors of eye-shadows . They have a free reign when it comes to choosing the colors.
 Well, I dont have brown eyes but I loved the colors that came in this palette that I am going to be review today.
Its NYX FOR YOUR EYES ONLY PALETTE FOR MYSTERIOUS BROWN EYES.
Its priced at around $9.99 USD. Though I believe this range of eye-shadow palette is now discontinued.
This palette comes with 10 eye-shadows and it has a big sized mirror inside, which comes in handy to do the makeup, and the lid snap shuts securely so its travel friendly.

 Please excuse the tardy picture, I have had this palette for a while now, so its all weared down.

As far as the quality goes I have always been impressed with NYX eye shadows. All the shades in this palette are very soft and creamy to touch. The texture is very smooth and they are all well pigmented. They are not chalky. The swatches are all done without any base or primer underneath.

The palette some interesting selection of colors which helps create a lot many looks, right from neutrals  to warm and bronze looks to colorful green and purple to the bold gold. The choices are limitless.
I quiet enjoy this palette.

 However I do have one complaint with only one eye-shadow. It would be the yellow gold eye shadow, I always have a tough time getting that eye shadow glide on my lids effortlessly, I have to be careful as to not pack much product and also to smooth it out properly on the lids.
Not much of a hassle but still not very effortless either. Overall I like this palette and all the colors are complimentary to the Indian Skin Tone.
I have created this LOTD using the deeper browns and gold eye-shadow from this palette. I will soon do a colorful look with this palette.

 I have on Candy Apple from Revlon Lip Butter range on my lips.
