NYX POWDER BLUSH IN PINCHED REVIEW

Hey everyone!
Today's post is going to be dedicated to blushing. No, no I am not blushing over anything, just reviewing the NYX POWDER BLUSH in PINCHED. I am a big fan of NYX cream blushes, and had been reading great bit of reviews on their powder blushes too, so I decided to finally get myself one. I wanted to buy the blush called Desert Rose but that was out of stock so my next choice was this PINCHED.
Judging by the name I thought in my mind the color should be pink as in when some one pinches your cheeks how pink they should look that kind of pink..Okay thats what I thought, silly me you know!
Anyhoo I got his one for $5.99 USD or in INDIA its priced at INR 650.
The packaging is a square shaped plastic container with a transparent lid so you can easily see the color. It doesnt come with a blush brush or a mirror.

There is a wide variety of shades available fromt his range around 27. That is one too many girls!
So coming back to this one. The color at first glance looks all pinky pink and I am like no come on! Not another one. But I was wrong and was glad I glad I was wrong.

Its basically a pink blush with coral hues and golden shimmers, which are finely milled.

I have to be honest though it was not love at first sight, but this blush grew on me.
When I swatched it and blended it I could see the shimmers on my hand which I am not a big fan of but on further blending I could see the shimmers spreading evenly.

And unlike blushes its not super pigmented, which I like actually, when it comes to blushes I prefer them to be of okay pigmentation with build-able color of-course. It makes it a hassle rather to be so conscious while applying a blush. So I am glad this one is decently pigmented .

For application I would suggest to use a light hand to evenly distribute the shimmer.
The shimmer is not so much an issue with this blush, it doesnt have too much sparkly shimmer, it rather gives a glow to the face.

The staying power is okay it stays put on me for a good 4 to 5 hours and if I apply it over a cream blush then I am set for the day!

I am currently pairing this with NYX CREAM BLUSH IN GLOW and it goes perfectly well together. I have reviewed GLOW HERE
So overall its a thumps up for me on this beautiful more pink less peach blush!

NYX EYESHADOW PALETTE FOR YOUR EYES ONLY "MYSTERIOUS BROWN EYES" LOTD

 Hey Everyone!
Beauty experts all over believe that Brown Eyes are the most flattering. Women blessed with brown eyes can rock all colors of eye-shadows . They have a free reign when it comes to choosing the colors.
 Well, I dont have brown eyes but I loved the colors that came in this palette that I am going to be review today.
Its NYX FOR YOUR EYES ONLY PALETTE FOR MYSTERIOUS BROWN EYES.
Its priced at around $9.99 USD. Though I believe this range of eye-shadow palette is now discontinued.
This palette comes with 10 eye-shadows and it has a big sized mirror inside, which comes in handy to do the makeup, and the lid snap shuts securely so its travel friendly.

 Please excuse the tardy picture, I have had this palette for a while now, so its all weared down.

As far as the quality goes I have always been impressed with NYX eye shadows. All the shades in this palette are very soft and creamy to touch. The texture is very smooth and they are all well pigmented. They are not chalky. The swatches are all done without any base or primer underneath.

The palette some interesting selection of colors which helps create a lot many looks, right from neutrals  to warm and bronze looks to colorful green and purple to the bold gold. The choices are limitless.
I quiet enjoy this palette.

 However I do have one complaint with only one eye-shadow. It would be the yellow gold eye shadow, I always have a tough time getting that eye shadow glide on my lids effortlessly, I have to be careful as to not pack much product and also to smooth it out properly on the lids.
Not much of a hassle but still not very effortless either. Overall I like this palette and all the colors are complimentary to the Indian Skin Tone.
I have created this LOTD using the deeper browns and gold eye-shadow from this palette. I will soon do a colorful look with this palette.

NYX Cream Blush In GLOW Review and Swatches

Hello my lovelies..
I am so enjoying this week as I'm getting to blog regularly, makes me happy to be involved with my blog and being regular with it too.
With fall knocking on the door, its time to take out those cream blushes, dust them off(they arent really dusty). Although I use cream blushes all through the year, just that during summer and monsoon months I add powder blushes on top of them to avoid any hot mess on my face.
So for this post I am sharing my most beloved shade of cream blushes from NYX its called GLOW.

PRICE : INR 650.
Its a pretty pretty light pinkish shade which is not too bright.
The packaging is quiet standard it comes in a round case with a clear plastic case on the top to help identify the shade. The body is made of plastic too. It doesnt com with any sort of applicator or mirror. The packaging is quiet sturdy it doesnt open up as easily and I have traveled with it, never faced an issues.

On the back is the name and a full list of ingredients.

You open up the case and your face has to instantly light up seeing the pretty pink color, its not in your face pink rather a pink with coral hues. Its a beautiful color which makes you happy just looking at it.

Texture wise this blush is extremely and I mean extremely CREAMY, it would have done without being so so so creamy. During summers its a good idea to store them in a cool place even refrigerate them if need be.
But the creamy texture also enhances its ability to be super blendable.

Now the most important aspect of this blush where you need to tread carefully is the Pigmentation.
Its freaking superbly pigmented, even the lightest touch can give you a handful to blend. If you are new  to cream blushes you need to practice with this baby before wearing it out. Test it out a couple of times just to make sure you arent over doing it. Once you get the hang of it you are never going to want to use another blush.

Application wise it depends on what you are comfortable with, you may use your fingers or a stippling brush.
I prefer the latter, I use a stippling brush to apply this brush on my cheeks because this brush picks up less product and also importantly it distributes the color evenly on the cheeks as opposed to fingers.

You can ofcourse use fingers, I'm just not very good at blending it with my fingers.

Once you blend this blush it gives a glow literally to your face sans any shimmer. I just love it so so so much.
I have dry skin so I can use it more, if you have oily skin you can always layer it up with a powder blush. Doing so also insures the longevity of the blush.
On it own I would say it stays put for upto 4 hours in hot weather conditions, otherwise it stays on longer.

NYX PIGMENT PEARL AND LORAC MATTE EYESHADOW IN DRAMA : SOFT EASY ON THE EYES MAKEUP LOOK

Hello everyone,
I typed and deleted typed and deleted the intro for this post. Guess my mood isnt helping either.
Well for this post I wanted to go for softer lighter colors, nothing in your face kind of dramatic so  I'm using NYX Pigment in LP 02 Pearl and LORAC matte satin finish eye-shadow in DRAMA.
Its a lovely soft metallic pink pigment that doesnt look so pink on my pigmented lids.
I shall do a detailed review on this pigment with swatches and all.
I did actually click pictures for the look along the way but unfortunately the light didnt support it...the true impact of the color is not coming in the pictures.
I will share a couple of pictures of how I achieved the look

EOTD WITH NYX PIGMENT AND LORAC EYESHADOW IN DRAMA

I primed my eyes with Urban Decay primer potion. And then applied NYX jumbo eye pencil in MILK
on the lids.
I then took the NYX pigment in on a synthetic brush and slowly patted in on the lids for even application.
Next I took a grey matte eye-shadow and applied it on the outer part of the lids and blended it softly to the pink eye shadow.
For the lower lids I applied the same grey eyeshadow on the lower lashline and smudged it lightly. On the outer corner of the eyes I took little bit of black eye shadow and blended it on the outer corner.
I then applied a black eye liner to the top lids and curled m lashes and applied loads of mascara to the top lashes.

QUICK FOTD POST

Hello friends,
I was just browsing through my sd  card deleting old pictures when I came across this picture with a full face of makeup I did on Rakhi eve for a dinner. I thought of sharing the pictures, although no makeup illustration is there, being a beauty blogger that I am I do have lot many pictures.

For the lipstick I created a Custom shade by mixing Maybelline VIVID ROSE and Revlon Randezvous. My eye liner is burnt brown gel liner from  L'oreal in esspresso .

On the eyes I have just one eye shadow all over the lids and its a medium brown eyeshadow from the NYX WICKED DREAMS PALETTE. I just swiped the eyeshadow all over the eye lids and used a highlight shade under the brow bone and tear duct.

BLUSH is again an amalgamation of NYX CREAM BLUSH in GLOW and NYX Powder Blush in PINCHED.

NYX PIGMENT WALNUT PEARL : DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA! DRAMATIC EYES EOTD

Helloooo..
So here I am back with a pretty dramatic EOTD.
For this look I used NYX COSMETICS.
I started by fixing my brows! I took a matte brown eye-shadow and filled my eyebrows using an angled liner brush. A fully groomed eye brow is a must for such dramatic look.

For the base I applied NYX eyeshadow in skin tone on my eyelids all the way to the brow bone and also below the waterline. I used the NYX PIGMENT in WALNUT PEARL on the lids keeping it below the crease. Then I took a black matte eye shadow and applied it on the crease with an angled brush creating a sharp angle on the outer "v". I then dragged the same eyeshadow brush on the waterline and packed the eye shadow well with saturated color.

Next taking a small blending brush I  lightly blended the black eye shadow on the crease. And then I took a shimmery eyeshadow for the tear duct and highlighting under the brow bone .

Next taking my black gel eye liner I applied the eye liner and focused on the inner corner to drag it out a little bit more and also lined my waterline with the same gel liner.

Added loads of mascara to both top and bottom eye lashes.

METALLIC GREEN AND BROWN WITH A HINT OF GOLD EOTD

Hello everyone,
I am back with yet another EOTD. There is a very popular Indian festival for women called Teej that went by a few days back and its dedicated to women to pamper themselves during the monsoons. As greenery is an inherent part of the monsoons , this occasion is also triumphed by this color.
So this is an ode to women all across and I was inspired by the color GREEN.
Here is the final look.

For this look I have used the NYX WICKED DREAMS PALETTE for the GREEN color.

AND TARTE COSMETICS HOLIDAY EDITION PALETTE AND COASTAL SCENTS 88 ORIGINAL PALETTE. So lets get started

1. After priming the lids with NYX eyeshadow base I applied a green jumbo pencil all over the lids. I wanted a sharper shade around the edges so I used a tape in an angle upwards from the lower lash-line. 

2.Since I have pigmented eyelids and I wanted to use a lighter color on the crease I applied NYX jumbo eye pencil in MILK on the crease all the way up to the brow bone and blend it with my finger.  I also applied the same white jumbo pencil on the lower lash line.

3. Taking a coral color from the COASTAL SCENTS PALETTE  I applied it on the crease area with a fluffy blending brush and blended it well.

4. Next taking a matte brown eye-shadow I applied it on the outer corner of the eyelids and saturated the color giving more depth to the eyes.

5. I deepened the brown eye-shadow more and also applied the coral eye shadow on the lower lash-line.

For added drama I took little bit of the copper-gold eye shadow from the WICKED PALETTE and applied in the tear duct and also dabbed in the centre of the lids so it reflects more light. 

Next I applied a deep brown eye liner on the top and bottom lash line.

I applied some mascara. And here is the final look.
