MISS CLAIRE SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM IN NO. 05 REVIEW AND SWATCH EOTD AND FOTD

Weekend is here, well at-least now when I am writing this post, dont know if it would still be weekend when you are reading it. I want it to be a weekend read! I am trying you know. So anyhoo if you read my last post you know it was all about the MISS CLAIRE SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM IN NO. 15. I have already reviewed that one, and I couldn't wait to review this awesome one, which I really liked. Like REALLY REALLY , keeping 3-4 back up kind of like! So I couldn't put off sharing it with you guys.

So for this one.
I bought it for INR 195 , its cheaper at other places, not readily available though, still trying to find out if one can buy it online, no luck yet.

Its a light coral color with pink undertone, it would suit mostly fair to medium complexion, though I think even duskier beauties can rock this shade.

The texture is smooth and buttery goes on the lips without any tugging or pulling but its not very forgiving on dry and chapped lips. You need to exfoliate and moisturise your lips before applying this one.

 The pigmentation is decent, you need to go twice all over your lips for an even application. Love the matte effect it gives, it does tend to settle into fine lines the lips are not well exfoliated. It comes with a sponge tip applicator.

The packaging is standard clear plastic tube with a black velvet finish cap. All the ingredients are listed on the tube.

Staying power is amaze balls! it stays a good up to 5 hours and even survives meal with light feathering.

REVIEW MISS CLAIRE SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM 15 JUST LIKE THE NYX LIP CREAMS

Hello everyone,
For this post I am doing a quick review on this brand MISS CLAIRE, that I dont know much about, but I just spotted these cosmetics from the brand at an accessories shop at the PHOENIX Mall in Pune.
Now I am absolutely crazy about the NYX lip creams the matte ones, all of them are so buttery smooth and long lasting and cheap ( at least in the USA). I bought them during an offer for $3 a pop so somehow even though I love them I can bring myself to pay 650 INR  for them in INDIA.
Anyhoo, when I saw these my heart skipped a beat! for once I thought its NYX until ofcourse I glanced at the brand name.

But the colors were so pretty and they even had testers!
So I decided to pick one. I eventually picked two, wanted to pick more but somehow controlled myself as I didn't know much about this brand so I thought I would do some R&D once I get home! BTW I also picked a couple of lip liners which were filthy cheap. Haven't tested them out yet, so the final verdict on them has to wait.

Back to this one, these were priced at INR 195 which I knew they were overpriced. I confirmed with my friend in Kolkata once I got back there these are sold for INR 170. So yes not a major difference.
The packaging is also similar to the NYX matte lip creams onl the texture on the cap is more velvety feeling than plastic. other than that it comes in a standard clear plastic tube with a sponge tip applicator, so you can easily see the color.

The color range impressed me , I didn't see nay reds though, I was shopping in a hurry so I dont know whether or not they carry it. Sorry!
But there were lots of nud*s OMG they were fantastic. And more deeper plums and corals, I was drooling.
I picked up the number 15 they are not named just numbered, which didnt gain any marks for me.
Its kind of a deep plum shade which is totally matte and buttery smooth in application.

The pigmentation is also superb, one swipe gives a decent opaque cover.
The staying power is also similar to the NYX  lip creams, they stay a good 6 hours on me, even with meals with light feathering of course.

But they are so matte that they get a bit drying so its best to apply them over exfoliated lips so they dont settle too much into the fine lines. They do if you have terribly chapped lips like mine and if you are as lazy as me to not apply a lip balm!

I am loving these so far no complaints other than the fact that they are drying on the lips.

Will be back with another review on the lighter shade I picked up.

NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM : REVIEW

Today I am going to be reviewing NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAMS. I have three of these beauties in my stash:

1. ADDIS  ABABA 

2. ANTWERP

3. SAN PAULO

So lets gets this review started. More than anything its unique texture is what enticed me to buy these lipsticks. Its a lipstick in the form of a lip gloss. Thats what the product is in a nutshell.  Now lets get to the details.

WHAT THE COMPANY SAYS ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Neither lipstick nor lip gloss—this is matte lip cream. A new kind of pout paint that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing. Available in 11 lip colors.

PACAKAGING 5/5

No complaints here. Its packaged in a clear tube so you can see the color for what it is and it has a sponge tip applicator which give you more control than a brush tip applicator. The name of the product is mentioned on the bottom of the tube.

PIGMENTATION 5/5

All the shades are very pigmented. A single swipe on the lips is enough. Even antwerp being a lighter  shade has amazing pigmentation. Couldnt have asked for more.

TEXTURE 3.5/5

As the name suggests its matte, but what is unique about this it is so soft and  gives a silk like velvety feel to the lips when applied and as it dries it gives a matte look to the lips.Its quiet unlike any product that I own. But the only con with this product is that being a matte lip product it does leave the lips dry after a while as it shows the lines and cracks in the lips. Now a good way to solve it is to put a lip balm on your lips before applying it and also if you wish you can add a tiny amount of gloss to the lips. I personally just reapply the product little bit.

STAYING POWER 4/5

It is not meant to be a long wear lip product , its not marketed as such but still it has pretty good lasting power, since the pigmentation is so good on these that even after wearing off you still have color on our lips. I would say it has fairly good amount of staying power.

PRICING

Here is the thing about pricing. NYX products are cheap or affordable only the USA. Outside USA not so much. IN USA they go around for $6, in India they go around for anywhere between 750-650. 

FINAL VERDICT: 4/5 I love this product.NYX  has a great variety of color selection for these matte lip creams and they glide on ever so smoothly on your lips. The drying bit on the lips is the only con i can give the product other than that it is perfect. For a matte lipstick it is still less drying than most other lipsticks. I would definitely recommend this product.
