RED LIPSTICKS FOR HOLIDAY 2013 MY PICKS

Hola, hola!!!
I had promised for this post some time back. I love Red lipsicks is no secret to those who read my blog. But I surprised even myself when I started digging out my red lipstick stash for this post. I have 6 of these now and I know atleast 3 more than I am lusting. But thankfully after doing this post I have convinced myself to not buy another Red Lipstick until I finish atleast one of this. I know not gonna happen. But still atleast it will stop me from buying the latest M.A.C retro matte ones.
So lets begin. I will go from lightest to darkest.

1.REVLON CANDY APPLE: I love this one. Okay this is going to be a common line for all the lipsticks. I love this because its my "no attention seeker" / "day time"Red lipstick. Its juicy and moisturizing and makes the lips look plump. I've had many asking me what lipstick it is. Here is the swatch and how it looks on me. I have reviewed it HERE

2. MAYBELLINE MAT 4: This is the latest addition to my stash. I bought it for the matte effect, but its not matte by any means. But I still love it ( get many compliments whenever I have applied this,, so gotta love it). Jokes apart, I like how it lifts up the entire face and it a perfect balance between blue and orange undertone. Its neither too dark not too light. Here is the  FOTD using this lipstick. 3. MAYBELLINE COLOR SENSATIONAL LIPSTICK IN FATAL RED: I got this lipstick after Lisa Eldridge recommended it in one of her YOU TUBE videos. This and one another one from REVLON Matte called REALLY RED. Girls please if any of you know where I can buy it from in INDIA please let me know. I lost mine ( very sad face) and cant find it now anywhere to repurchase.
Anyways back to Fatal Red I like this one because its not a  very fiery red, next to other red lipsticks it looks more orange. It suits Indian complexion well. Read review HERE

4. COLORBAR HEARTS AND TARTS: I have recently reviewed this lipstick, and it honestly hasnt been that long since I have bought it. But its the mattest if that is even a word) red lipstick I have. Its not too drying on the lips and is perfect for my dry lips, although exfoliation is highly recommended.You can read the detailed review along with HERE

5. RIMMEL LASTING FINISH BY KATE MOSS NO. 11: This is the most "hatke" Red, its bordering on maroon but appears on the red side on my lips. This is going to be my pick for the fall season among the reds I own. Here is the FOTD using this lipstick. You can read the detailed review HERE. 6. L'OREAL INFALLIBLE LIPSTICK IN REFINED RUBY: This is hands down the most beautiful RED lipstick I have or want, I love it over M.A.C Russian Red and Ruby Woo . Yes you heard it right. I have swatched it side by side with those MAC. lipsticks but still loved this one more that is why they havent made an entry yet into my vanity. HERE is the review and FOTD using this favorite.

HOLIDAY GLAM LOOK 2013 : MAKEUP TUTORIAL LOTD FOTD

Hey everyone,
I am back with another makeup tutorial, seems like ages since I did one.
So this one is apt for the holiday season.  Wedding is season is on here so I think this look might come in handy during one those numerous parties and events as well. Hope you all like it. So without much ado lets just jump right into it.
Here is the look. Its in a collage format, do let me know which kind of tutorial you prefer. The collage one or separate step wise picture and description along.

So here is how I achieved this look:
1. Taking a shimmery beige eyeshadow apply it on the lids. I used "sin" eyeshadow from URBAN DECAY AMMO PALETTE.
2. Taking a warm orange/brown eyeshadow apply it on the crease bringing it halfway in. Blend it with a big fluffy blending brush.
3.Taking a matte medium brown eye shadow apply it on the outer one third of the lids.
4. Take more of the brown eyeshadow and bring in down to the lower lash line and blend it well.
5. Add a matte highlight shade under the brow bone and in the inner tear duct, apply your eyeliner.
6. Finish the look with curling your lashes and applying your favorite mascara, for more drama layer up your mascara.
For the lips I wanted to go dark, dark , dark. I am using Revlon super lustrous lipstick in BLACK CHERRY.  Red lipstick would go well with this look as well.

FALL MAKEUP : EOTD GETTING IN THE MOOD FOR FALL/WINTER 2013

Hey everyone!
Its almost October. Holy moly! Its hard to believe that so much of the year has already passed by. If weather conditions are anything to go by its still monsoon. But its the time of year when we get ready to cozy up to darker warmer colors.
I was just sitting by my vanity trying to get inspiration from the display of colors in front of me( had all my eyeshadow palettes opened) and was just playing around with colors and decided to do my eyes. This is the look I came up with. Its a deeper shade of pink and navy blue eyeshadow and the slightest bit of black eyeshadow.
Here are the pictures.

I used only matte eye shadow for this look. I am liking only matte eye shadows a lot these days.

These two colors look lovely together, (strictly my opinion). How about you guys? Do you like this color combination?
I would gladly do a tutorial on this look in case any of you want me to.

Okay so the week started with

2. Next came the Review and LOTD of the much buzzed and latest lipstick to hit the market from MAYBELLINE MAT 4 REVIEW AND LOTD 

3.Next came the EOTD on green eye makeup GO GREEN ON THE EYES  I was loving the green color a bit much this week I suppose.

4.And finally the last post this week on Friday was the LOTD using the MYSTERIOUS BROWN EYES PALETTE 

So this was the week that was at GLAMMEGAL.

NYX EYESHADOW PALETTE FOR YOUR EYES ONLY "MYSTERIOUS BROWN EYES" LOTD

 Hey Everyone!
Beauty experts all over believe that Brown Eyes are the most flattering. Women blessed with brown eyes can rock all colors of eye-shadows . They have a free reign when it comes to choosing the colors.
 Well, I dont have brown eyes but I loved the colors that came in this palette that I am going to be review today.
Its NYX FOR YOUR EYES ONLY PALETTE FOR MYSTERIOUS BROWN EYES.
Its priced at around $9.99 USD. Though I believe this range of eye-shadow palette is now discontinued.
This palette comes with 10 eye-shadows and it has a big sized mirror inside, which comes in handy to do the makeup, and the lid snap shuts securely so its travel friendly.

 Please excuse the tardy picture, I have had this palette for a while now, so its all weared down.

As far as the quality goes I have always been impressed with NYX eye shadows. All the shades in this palette are very soft and creamy to touch. The texture is very smooth and they are all well pigmented. They are not chalky. The swatches are all done without any base or primer underneath.

The palette some interesting selection of colors which helps create a lot many looks, right from neutrals  to warm and bronze looks to colorful green and purple to the bold gold. The choices are limitless.
I quiet enjoy this palette.

 However I do have one complaint with only one eye-shadow. It would be the yellow gold eye shadow, I always have a tough time getting that eye shadow glide on my lids effortlessly, I have to be careful as to not pack much product and also to smooth it out properly on the lids.
Not much of a hassle but still not very effortless either. Overall I like this palette and all the colors are complimentary to the Indian Skin Tone.
I have created this LOTD using the deeper browns and gold eye-shadow from this palette. I will soon do a colorful look with this palette.

 I have on Candy Apple from Revlon Lip Butter range on my lips.

GO GREEN EVEN ON THE EYES LOTD USING GREEN EYESHADOW

Hey everyone!
Yet another LOTD from yours truly, this time its more colorful than the usual brown and black. Hope you all like it.
So here we go
1.Begin by priming your lids with your favorite eye shadow base. I used the NYX EYESHADOW BASE. Then I applied a green gel eyeliner as a base all over the lids keeping it below the crease area and I did not create a "v" shape on the outer corner.

2. Next I applied a matte green eyeshadow on top of the green eye liner and then took the same eyeshadow on the lower lashline as lightly applied it.

3. Next taking a matte mid tone brown color on a small blending brush I applied it on the crease bringing it all the way in and lightly blended it.

4.  Next I took an orangish brown eyeshadow and applied it over the the brown careful not to smudge it with the brown and lightly blended it and then I applied the highlight shade just under the browbone.

5. For the inner corner I took just a little bit of lime green eyeshadow on the brush and placed it in the inner corner and blended it with the rest of the eye shadow.

5. I applied black gel eye liner and mascara and also smudged some dark eyeshadow on the lower lashline.

6. For the lips I applied REVLON LIP BUTTER IN TRUTI FRUTI & TBS Lipgloss IN 04. Here is the final look.

MAYBELLINE MAT 4 LIPSTICK REVIEW AND SWATCH AND LOTD

Hello everyone,
If you are reading this post chances are you already know what this post is about, but what you dont know is that as soon as I am done with this post I shall start work on my next post wherein I shall be sharing all my 4-5 red lipsticks in one post. Since this is my latest Red Lippie purchase I wanted to share the review in detail for this one.
Aww shucks! no I have more to go. I got another one. But you get the jest. I shall soon be doing a red lipsticks post. So look out for that if you love Red lipsticks.
So here comes my review for this one.

MAYBELLINE MAT 4 REVIEW

I was indeed excited when I knew Maybelline is launching neon bold and matte lipsticks. It was more than I could have asked, I  would have been happy be just with the VIVIDS range launching here. But the reviews left me hanging in the middle.
So I decided to go ahead and get these for myself. Okies I am on a blabbering streak. Lets begin the review shall we?

I got it for INR 375

I loved the adorable packaging it has a soft matte finish on the cap with a silver cylindrical tube. The cap has neon orange/red color.

Once I opened it The tip was broken and yes I opened it with care, I think it was packaged loose, i.e..the tube wasn't twisted all the way, so when and of you buy this one be extra careful.

Once I opened it I was happy it wasn't a "red" red lipstick more of a orange lipstick with red undertones.

The texture is smooth it glided on to the lips without any tugging and pulling. The matte part of the texture is quiet confusing actually, no confusion there its not matte at all, but why are they being promoted as matte?

I would have loved for them to be matte! Though after using this one I am not complaining. This is a bold lipstick which is not drying at all infact its very hydrating on the lips.

 I swiped it twice and thrice on my lips to get the desired color. So this lipstick  is not exactly very pigmented, its rather sheer but easily buildable which is again a plus as I can build up the color or use it lightly as well. Here I have swatched it against Maybelline's FATAL RED so you can see how much orange it is compared to FATAL RED .

 And I loved the loved loved the color. It will flatter Indian skin tones. 

The staying power also amazed me along with the bold color. It was pretty impressive, it stayed a good 5 hours on my lips, with light feathering.
So thumbs up to Maybelline for the awesome blossom BOLD Lipsticks!
Final word go grab these for the bold colors and awesome staying power ,the colors will not disappoint you!
