RED LIPSTICKS FOR HOLIDAY 2013 MY PICKS

Hola, hola!!!
I had promised for this post some time back. I love Red lipsicks is no secret to those who read my blog. But I surprised even myself when I started digging out my red lipstick stash for this post. I have 6 of these now and I know atleast 3 more than I am lusting. But thankfully after doing this post I have convinced myself to not buy another Red Lipstick until I finish atleast one of this. I know not gonna happen. But still atleast it will stop me from buying the latest M.A.C retro matte ones.
So lets begin. I will go from lightest to darkest.

my red lipstick stash

1.REVLON CANDY APPLE: I love this one. Okay this is going to be a common line for all the lipsticks. I love this because its my "no attention seeker" / "day time"Red lipstick. Its juicy and moisturizing and makes the lips look plump. I've had many asking me what lipstick it is. Here is the swatch and how it looks on me. I have reviewed it HERE

2. MAYBELLINE MAT 4: This is the latest addition to my stash. I bought it for the matte effect, but its not matte by any means. But I still love it ( get many compliments whenever I have applied this,, so gotta love it). Jokes apart, I like how it lifts up the entire face and it a perfect balance between blue and orange undertone. Its neither too dark not too light. Here is the  FOTD using this lipstick. You can read a detailed review HERE

3. MAYBELLINE COLOR SENSATIONAL LIPSTICK IN FATAL RED: I got this lipstick after Lisa Eldridge recommended it in one of her YOU TUBE videos. This and one another one from REVLON Matte called REALLY RED. Girls please if any of you know where I can buy it from in INDIA please let me know. I lost mine ( very sad face) and cant find it now anywhere to repurchase.
Anyways back to Fatal Red I like this one because its not a  very fiery red, next to other red lipsticks it looks more orange. It suits Indian complexion well. Read review HERE

4. COLORBAR HEARTS AND TARTS: I have recently reviewed this lipstick, and it honestly hasnt been that long since I have bought it. But its the mattest if that is even a word) red lipstick I have. Its not too drying on the lips and is perfect for my dry lips, although exfoliation is highly recommended. You can read the detailed review along with HERE

5. RIMMEL LASTING FINISH BY KATE MOSS NO. 11: This is the most "hatke" Red, its bordering on maroon but appears on the red side on my lips. This is going to be my pick for the fall season among the reds I own. Here is the FOTD using this lipstick. You can read the detailed review HERE. And for the FOTD you can read the detailed pictorial HERE .

6. L'OREAL INFALLIBLE LIPSTICK IN REFINED RUBY: This is hands down the most beautiful RED lipstick I have or want, I love it over M.A.C Russian Red and Ruby Woo . Yes you heard it right. I have swatched it side by side with those MAC. lipsticks but still loved this one more that is why they havent made an entry yet into my vanity. HERE is the review and FOTD using this favorite.

L'oreal Hip Eyeshadow Duo in DASHING 917 REVIEW with TWO EOTD looks

Hey y'all
I am back with yet another product review and this time it from L'oreal. Its from  their Hip collection, and its pretty old and permanent collection from L'oreal, I dont know hwy this line was and is not yet launched in India. This line has some amazing products from their eye pencils to eyeshadows to gel eyeliners and of-course much more.
I have one more set of this eyeshadow duo in cheeky that I am reviewing today . I have already reviewed that one http://www.glammegal.com/2013/07/loreal-hip-eyeshadow-duo-in-cheeky.html

The one I am reviewing today is a matte finish eyeshadow duo in DASHING.

This eyeshadow Duo is priced at $8.49.

L'OREAL HIP DUO IN DASHING

The packaging is interesting, even though its a small duo they have managed to put an applicator in another section beneath the eyeshadow, although the applicator is standard nothing great but comes in handy during travelling.
The DASHING duo has both matte textured eye-shadows one color is a light powder pink color and the other is a medium black.
The texture is pretty smooth on both the eyeshadows, silky to touch, but the pigmentation on the lighter shade is just beyond pathetic. I was beyond disappointed when despite vigorously rubbing the eyeshadow on the brush, finger there was negligible color payoff.
L'OREAL HIP DUO IN DASHING SWATCH
Thankfully, the second shade did not disappoint. Its a medium black eye-shadow, the color is very pigmented and also buildable to intensify.
Here are two looks I did using this eye shadow duo.

I know its looking funny, but I just wanted to show the two looks I created using this eyeshadow duo.
My final thoughts on the product are its better to skip this particular duo, there are many better ones from this range that are much more pigmented. The black one sure is pigmented but not worth spending that much for one eyeshadow, there are much better finishes and color combination available from this rang itself. So skip this one. This is a regret buy but I still use it, its not a total waste.
So that is it for this review and EOTD. Hope you all liked it.

NYX PIGMENT WALNUT PEARL : DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA! DRAMATIC EYES EOTD

Helloooo..
So here I am back with a pretty dramatic EOTD.
For this look I used NYX COSMETICS.
I started by fixing my brows! I took a matte brown eye-shadow and filled my eyebrows using an angled liner brush. A fully groomed eye brow is a must for such dramatic look.

For the base I applied NYX eyeshadow in skin tone on my eyelids all the way to the brow bone and also below the waterline. I used the NYX PIGMENT in WALNUT PEARL on the lids keeping it below the crease. Then I took a black matte eye shadow and applied it on the crease with an angled brush creating a sharp angle on the outer "v". I then dragged the same eyeshadow brush on the waterline and packed the eye shadow well with saturated color.

Next taking a small blending brush I  lightly blended the black eye shadow on the crease. And then I took a shimmery eyeshadow for the tear duct and highlighting under the brow bone .
Next taking my black gel eye liner I applied the eye liner and focused on the inner corner to drag it out a little bit more and also lined my waterline with the same gel liner.
Added loads of mascara to both top and bottom eye lashes.
Here are few more pictures of the look. Hope you like them!

ANTIQUE GOLD INSPIRED EOTD GOLD AND BLACK

Hey everyone,
GOLD as we know is a favorite among us Indians and we are invariably attracted to this alluring metal . I just got inspired by gold for this makeup tutorial. Hope you all like it.
Here is how I acheived it.
1. Taking a flat eye shadow brush pick up some black eyeshadow matte preferablly and place it on the inner and outer corner of the lids and keep the centre of the eyes  clean.
2. Take a gold eyeshadow and pat in on the centre of the lids and taking a small blending brush with very light hands blend it into the black softly.
3. Place a medium brown eyeshadow on the crease and blend it into the black eyeshadow and blend it well and apply a matte eye shadow under the eyebrows. Apply the same gold and black eye shadows on the waterline and smudge it well.
4. Line your eyes with a black eyeliner and curl your eyelashes apply your mascara and you are done!

Here is the final look. Hope you all liked it.
