URBAN DECAY LIP PRIMER POTION REVIEW

I have been wanting to do a lot writing on my blog, but try as I may I am not being able to be as regular as I would like to be.

I have been trying to do hair style blogs, but its almost impossible to do it and take pictures along.

I want to do videos but I hardly get time to blog when will I edit my videos, anyhoo enough of my blabbering...

Lets get down to today's product.

Its the URBAN DECAY LIP PRIMER POTION, yep thats right Lip primer. It is supposed to do all sorts of wonders for your lipstick.

What URBAN DECAY SAYS ABOUT THE PRODUCT :
Prepare your lips for the day ahead. Our invisible primer lays a silky foundation for your favorite lipstick or gloss. Color is truer, applies smoother, lasts longer, and will not fade or feather. The easy-glide formula feels velvety-soft, without the drying feeling often associated with long-lasting lip color.

The formula includes SPF 15 (yay!) and moisturizing Vitamins A, C and E for a primer that protects and perfects. And, our pretty roll-up tube and slanted bullet make for precise, easy application. 

PRICED AT $20 its quiet pricey I would say for a lip primer, I bought mine in a set of primers from URBAN DECAY.

It comes in a lipstick form, opaque and colorless, it looks like a chapstick.

 Frankly I wasnt too sure if it would do anything for the lips. 

But Boy was I wrong or what???

I have dry and chapped lips and a honest confession, I am not very good at taking care of it either.

But that doesnt stop me from applying my reds and berries and fuchsias. So I used it I was so pleasantly surprised.

Although it doesnt work as a chap-stick or lip balm once you apply it it smoothes the surface of your lips. Once applied it looks matte and then you apply your lipstick as usual and bam!
It stays put for longer , doesnt budge for hours even after eating and drinking and
is amazingly long wearing. It also has an spf of 15 which is always good, so even if your lipstick doesnt have sunscreen your lips are covered. The lipstick application went on smooth and was long wearing, but
it would have been an added benefit if it was moisturizing as well.

So overall a very good product I think the only con is the price otherwise its a very good product.

L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base Face Primer :REVIEW

Today I am going to be reviewing a face primer from L'Oreal Studio Secrets range.

I have had it for a while so I thought I would share my views on the product with you all.
PRICE: $12.99 USD

PACKAGING: It comes in a glass jar with a black lid on it. And as you open it you can see the product has the faintest pink color to it.
As you can see I am almost halfway done with the product and now another challenge I am facing is to using the product without it getting under my nails. That is a common problem with the products that come in a jar, cant really help it.

WHAT L'Oreal says about the product: Get the perfect skin texture, instantly and all day. The silky, lightweight formula glides onto skin and minimizes the look of pores and fine lines. Skin looks and feels smoothed and resurfaced. The result is a unified matte finish that's flawless. Suitable for all skin types. Dermatologist tested. Non-comedogenic.

When I first touched the product it felt so creamy I almost felt like I was using a face cream instead of the face primer. Anyhow, I started applying it on the face and blended it, and then I touched my face. It was so smooth and butter like, not greasy butter like but smooth butter like that I wanted to apply some more of it, just because of the way it made my skin feel.
It instantly covered the pores around my cheeks, (although I dont have big pores to cover, but whatever little I do it did cover them pretty well) and also smoothed out any other unevenness on the face and I could see my face looking soft and smooth.

However,I did not find this primer to increase the longevity of the foundation, which one would associate a primer to do, but then neither does L'oreal claim it to doing so.
It is a primer which smoothes out the skin and cover your pores and any other uneven surface on the face and provides a smooth canvas for the foundation to go on.
You have to use to understand when I say it is so soft and so smooth on the face , you almost want to reapply it or want to keep touching your face.

The foundation blended on perfectly over this primer for me, I have no issues there, my only area of concern is the fact that it doesnt help the foundation stay on longer than the foundation itself intends to. You may need to apply a setting spray to make the foundation last all day.
But then I dont generall have to wear a foundation for that long at a time, so this product works just ine for me.
Even if you have oily skin I would recommend this product as it does mattify the face and takes care of the excess oil.

OVERALL VERDICT: I quiet like it for the way it makes my skin so very smooth and poreless after application. I might repurchase it.

NYX EYE SHADOW BASE IN SKIN TONE

For this post I am going to be reviewing NYX eye shadow base in SKIN TONE.

There is a wide variety of primers and bases for eye makeup, the functionality of these being to bring out the vibrancy of the of the eye shadow and enhance the staying power of the eye shadow.

Ever since I have been into eye makeup I keep collecting these eye bases and primers as they seem to be a magic potion for the eye shadows.
For those of you who are new to eye makeup and have not yet started using a eye shadow base you are going about the whole process WRONG! You have to have a eye shadow primer or eye shadow base.

Okay back to this product.
What NYX says about the product:
Maximize the intensity, longevity and unashamed brilliance of your eye shadow statements with our eye shadow primer pots. Each of the three NYX Eye Shadow Bases—for vibrant, pearl or neutral tones—creates a smooth canvas for color, increases its durability and prevents fallout.
The one I have is in SKIN TONE, I already had the NYX jumbo pencil in MILK so I didnt go fro the white one.
PRICE: INR 600. USD $7
PACKAGING: It comes in a transparent glass jar, with a white lid on it. The ingredients are listed on the back.  Simple neat packaging,no fuss no mess you can easily the amount of product used and its also easier to use it in a jar.

Texture: The texture is creamy and it blends well without any effort. It almost has the consistency of a concealer, though you cant use it as a concealer.
Pigmentation: It is very pigmented and is true to the color you see in the jar.
I have pigmented lids, so this is the BEST eyeshadow base I have used, because it neutralizes any darkness on the lids and gives a clean base for my eye makeup.
If you have pigmented eye lids, this is the product to have.

The only thing to remember is  that you dont need a lot of product, a little goes a long way.
If you have oily lids you need to be even more careful, because for dry lids i can be forgiving but for oily lids you need very less amount to provide the coverage and act as a base as well.
The staying power again depends upon the quantity used, if you use too much you find it creasing in almost 4 hours, but if you use the correct amount it will easily last up to 7-8 hours, your eye makeup wouldnt budge.
Here are the swatches with light and dark eye shadows so you get an idea of how it enhances the color of the eye shadow .

OVERALL VERDICT: I can only say one thing, you have to have it. It is a wonderful product easy on the pocket, does the job well and then some, there is only pluses to it.
It will suit all skin types, but you just have to be a little careful with the quantity if you have oily lids. Its a total winner. Go grab it Girls , you wont be disappointed.
