DAY TIME SMOKEY EYES SUN KISSED MAKEUP LOTD/ FOTD

Hey eyeryone!
Just last week I was this conversation with a friend of mine and she asked me to do a sun kissed kind of look for the blog, and I said sure I would try one.
So here is my attempt at the sunkissed look but the problem is that by the time I got done with my look the sun had kissed good bye for the day, well almost that is why the pictures are in flash along with a couple I could manage in the sun..
For the eyes I went for a lighter and softer smokey eyes , which is appropriate for the day time.
Sun kissed look as far as my understanding goes requires lots and lots of bronzer that looks more like a natural tan and gives a healthy glow to the face. So here is my version. I shall do a detailed post with better lights in the pictures soon, I promise. For now do bear with this one. The first two pictures are in natural light.

I was not feeling the snake bitten n*de lips look so I changed it up.

I am wearing NYX round lipstick in DOLL here.

EOTD SMOKEY EYES USING COASTAL SCENTS 88 ORIGINAL PALETTE

Hi everyone!
I am doing a quick and very short post on this EOTD I created using the COASTAL SCENTS ORIGINAL 88 PALETTE. I have created a collage with step wise turotrial. If you want I can do a write up as well. Just let me know.
So here is the look.

 Here are the colors marked in numbers as I used them.
1.Is for all over the lids.
2.On and over the crease.
3.On the outer corners of the eyes.
4.HIghlight shade on the tear duct and under the brow bone.

Is a super short blog post. But I shall do the write up if any one wants. Just please let me know.

MAYBELLINE LILAC MAUVE QUAD EOTD LILAC SMOKEY EYES

Hey everyone!

I am back with yet another pictorial, and yet another look with the Maybelline's quad in Lilac Mauve that I recently reviewed.
I has mentioned in that post that I shall be showing more looks with the same quad. In the earlier post this is the look I created. You can see the post and read the review on the quad HERE

 For this EOTD I used all the shades from this palette. Here is a collage showing the step wise procedure to achieve this look.

1. After priming the lids with NYX EYESHADOW BASE I applied the darkest shade on the lids leaving the center of the lids bare.
2. Next taking the second lightest shade in the quad I applied it on the center of the lids.
3. After that I took the third eyeshadow( second darkest shade)and applied in on the inner corner and outer corner of the lids leaving a little bit of the darker shade untouched.
4.Taking the darkest eyeshadow on the eyeshadow brush I applied it on the lower lash line leaving the inner third for the lightest eyesahdow.
5.Taking a small blending brush lightly blend the eye shadows on the crease area and then on the lower lash line as well. Make sure not to over blend anything.
6. Taking the lightest shade highlight under the brow bone. Apply black eye liner and mascara and the look is done!

FALL MAKEUP : EOTD GETTING IN THE MOOD FOR FALL/WINTER 2013

Hey everyone!
Its almost October. Holy moly! Its hard to believe that so much of the year has already passed by. If weather conditions are anything to go by its still monsoon. But its the time of year when we get ready to cozy up to darker warmer colors.
I was just sitting by my vanity trying to get inspiration from the display of colors in front of me( had all my eyeshadow palettes opened) and was just playing around with colors and decided to do my eyes. This is the look I came up with. Its a deeper shade of pink and navy blue eyeshadow and the slightest bit of black eyeshadow.
Here are the pictures.

I used only matte eye shadow for this look. I am liking only matte eye shadows a lot these days.

These two colors look lovely together, (strictly my opinion). How about you guys? Do you like this color combination?
I would gladly do a tutorial on this look in case any of you want me to.

BLACK ATTACK : SOFT BLACK SMOKEY EYES

Hello dolls,
So for this post I was trying to figure out a theme I would like to get inspired from and I was drawing a blank so I drew the inspiration from the blank and came up with a look as it came along.
So ultimately it turned out to be a soft black smokey eye makeup.
I dont know sometimes I feel like I should rename my blog to SMOKEY EYES BLOG. I have such a hard time coming up with names for my posts as they are in some way or form smokey eyes. I just love smokey eyes too much, maybe more than I should, Oh who am I kidding I love my smokey eyes...
So here is another one..

So lets begin:
1. Primed the eyes with UDPP (Urban Decay Primer Potion). Then I applied NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in BLACK BEAN to the lids keeping it close to the lids. Using my finger I blended it evenly on the lids and took whatever what left on the waterline.

2. Taking a jet black eye shadow on a flat eye shadow brush I packed it closely to the lids and applied it close to the lids.
3. Next taking a small blending brush I smoothed the black eye shadow on the lids and moved it toward the crease.
4. Next I took a medium black eye shadow or the darkest grey eye shadow on a fluffy bending brush and started to blend, blend and blend some more.
5. Some more blending and then I applied the highlight shade, a matte color eye shadow closest to the skin tone under the brow bone and in the tear duct.
6. I smudged the dark black eye shadow on the waterline and tighlined my eyes  with the gel eye liner, and curled my lashes and applied loads of black mascara.
TADA....

Here is the final look.
I think its a pretty wearable black smokey eye. and its easier to play with lipsticks on this makeup as its not too out there.

METALLIC GREEN AND BROWN WITH A HINT OF GOLD EOTD

Hello everyone,
I am back with yet another EOTD. There is a very popular Indian festival for women called Teej that went by a few days back and its dedicated to women to pamper themselves during the monsoons. As greenery is an inherent part of the monsoons , this occasion is also triumphed by this color.
So this is an ode to women all across and I was inspired by the color GREEN.
Here is the final look.

For this look I have used the NYX WICKED DREAMS PALETTE for the GREEN color.

AND TARTE COSMETICS HOLIDAY EDITION PALETTE AND COASTAL SCENTS 88 ORIGINAL PALETTE. So lets get started

1. After priming the lids with NYX eyeshadow base I applied a green jumbo pencil all over the lids. I wanted a sharper shade around the edges so I used a tape in an angle upwards from the lower lash-line. 

2.Since I have pigmented eyelids and I wanted to use a lighter color on the crease I applied NYX jumbo eye pencil in MILK on the crease all the way up to the brow bone and blend it with my finger.  I also applied the same white jumbo pencil on the lower lash line.

3. Taking a coral color from the COASTAL SCENTS PALETTE  I applied it on the crease area with a fluffy blending brush and blended it well.

4. Next taking a matte brown eye-shadow I applied it on the outer corner of the eyelids and saturated the color giving more depth to the eyes.

5. I deepened the brown eye-shadow more and also applied the coral eye shadow on the lower lash-line.

For added drama I took little bit of the copper-gold eye shadow from the WICKED PALETTE and applied in the tear duct and also dabbed in the centre of the lids so it reflects more light. 

Next I applied a deep brown eye liner on the top and bottom lash line.

I applied some mascara. And here is the final look.

ANTIQUE GOLD INSPIRED EOTD GOLD AND BLACK

Hey everyone,
GOLD as we know is a favorite among us Indians and we are invariably attracted to this alluring metal . I just got inspired by gold for this makeup tutorial. Hope you all like it.

Here is how I acheived it.
1. Taking a flat eye shadow brush pick up some black eyeshadow matte preferablly and place it on the inner and outer corner of the lids and keep the centre of the eyes  clean.

2. Take a gold eyeshadow and pat in on the centre of the lids and taking a small blending brush with very light hands blend it into the black softly.

3. Place a medium brown eyeshadow on the crease and blend it into the black eyeshadow and blend it well and apply a matte eye shadow under the eyebrows. Apply the same gold and black eye shadows on the waterline and smudge it well.

 

4. Line your eyes with a black eyeliner and curl your eyelashes apply your mascara and you are done!

GLAMOROUS SMOKEY EYES USING MATTE EYESHADOWS

Hello everyone.
So after doing a mini series of sorts on the makeup look appropriate for day time and office wear I was in the mood to try something heavier, moving more towards the weekend, a glamorous makeup look but wasnt in the mood to use anything glittery or shimmery so I came up with a matte look. But sorry couldnt take pictures of this look step wise, just one picture in the beginning when I wasnt sure where this look was going.
Anyhooo, I shall share that one picture hopefully it gives you a jest of how to get this look.
I shall do my best to take you through the steps to achieve this look .

After prepping the face with THE BODY SHOP MATTE IT PRIMER, I applied my MAYBELLINE DREAM LIQUID MOUSSE FOUNDATION .
I then applied my LOREAL CRAYON CONCEALER UNDER THE EYES.
Then I set my face with ELF HD powder .
And then came the NYX EYESHADOW BASE .I applied it on the entire eyes including the lower waterline and blended it well.
Then I took a deep burgundy brown and applied it on the lids keeping it well below the crease.
Then I added a mid tone black eye shadow (not the blackest black) on top of that brown eyeshaow taking it over the crease slightly.

And then all I did was blend, blend, blend until I got the desired effect, and then I added the brown on the lid area again to make it pop a bit as it was too blended.
for the lower lash line too I overlapped the eye shadows first brown and then black and blended them really well. For eyeliner I just used the black eyeshadow , curled my lashes and applied loads of mascara. The picture below is with false eyelashes.

PURPLE SMOKEY EYES: COASTAL SCENTS 88 ORIGINAL PALETTE

Hey all,
As you know I rediscovered my love for my 88 COASTAL SCENTS palette I wanted to try another smokey look, ya I know I do smokey eyes a lot, but what can I say I like'em guys...
So lets begin...

 1. I applied wet and wild cream eye pencil in TECHNO 133 all over the lids up to the crease and also on the waterline.

2. I then applied purple eyeshadow all over the lids and on the bottom lids.

3. And then I added a majenta shade on the crease and a champagne shimmery color as the highlight.

4. I added black eyeshadow to the outer corner of lids. And then I started blending all the shades with a blending brush in small soft strokes.

5.For this look I lined my top and bottom lash line pretty heavily.

6. Some mascara and I am done.
